Earthquake, fire resistant structure

Preparing against a big earthquake, Tokyo Ariake Data Center I has been designed according to the New Aseismic Design Law, having a structure that can withstand an earthquake with an intensity of 7 on the Japanese 7-stage seismic scale.
Nitrogen gas is used for the fire extinguishing equipment, and customers' communication facilities will not be soaked with water even if a fire occurs.

Power facility

Power is supplied from The Tokyo Electric Power Company Ltd. through three systems. In addition, an emergency generator and a battery are provided to supply stable power to customers' system in an emergency. The emergency generator provided for an unexpected interruption of power supply ensures 18-hour continuous operation with reserve fuel. A battery is provided in order to cope with the interruption of power supply for approximately one minute until the emergency generator is activated.

Power room

Air conditioning system

The air conditioning system of a redundant structure keeps the system at an ideal temperature at all times. The N+1 redundant structure air conditioning system ensures conservation of environment by a remaining air conditioner when one air conditioner goes out of order.

Server room

The standard 19-inch rack is provided to mount servers, routers, and other network equipment. The rack with wiring provided in advance permits quick installation. The rack size can be changed according to customers' requirements.


The rack has one lead-in system to supply 100VAC, 50Hz, 20A power. Addition of a 100VAC power supply and installation of a lead-in cable for 200VAC, 3-phase 200 VAC, or 48VDC power is available.

Furthermore, establishment of an exclusive space by installation of a cage and partition, as well as provision of a private room, is also available.
